I am a junior high teacher and I have taught fifth-grade gifted students for over seven years. Over the years, I have enjoyed teaching many students with different learning styles and as a result, I have a toolbox of strategies that I utilize to make my lessons exciting and to help keep the students engaged. I really enjoy helping my students understand the concepts and make connections so that they learn their material. Every summer, I work with ELL/ESL and struggling students in kindergarten through eighth grades. It is my job to make sure that my students are prepared to enter the IB program. Many of the students that I have tutored in the past have received multiple scholarships and some go on to attend very challenging academic programs across the country. I tutor Elementary Math, ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, History (American and European), Computer Science, Geography, IB classes, and PSAT and SSAT Prep. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, listening to music, and playing sports and logic games.
